Beautiful Final Result

Our testing of Mr. Resin UV resin yielded fantastic results, our pieces were clear, hard, and bubble-free.

We did not notice any visible shrinking while curing.

We did not notice any strong odor while using Mr. Resin UV Resin.

Mr. Resin UV Resin is a hard-type resin.

Mr. Resin UV Resin cured clear, very transparent.

Mr. Resin UV Resin is Thicker than Most UV Resins

One of the issues people have had with Mr. Resin UV Resin is its thickness or viscosity. This is a thicker liquid, which means it is a great UV Resin for doming or jewelry pendants, but if you are not used to working with a thick UV Resin, you may find the pour a bit tricky.  We suggest soaking the UV Resin bottle in warm (NOT HOT) water before pouring it into your molds.  This will help make the UV Resin runnier and easier to deal with if you are having trouble.

Mr. Resin UV Resin Offers A Great Selection

We love that Mr. Resin UV Resin offers so many bottle sizes and different UV Resin kit selections.

If you decide to purchase the 1kg, 250g, 100g, or 500g bottles of Mr. Resin UV Resin, your package will arrive with 2 silicone resin mixer sticks and 2 silicone mixing cups, which are very handy for those just starting to work with UV Resin.

If you decide to purchase a package that is more inclusive, MR. Resin offers a deluxe kit, as well as a starter’s kit.

The starter’s kit includes 250 grams of Mr. Resin UV Resin, 2 silicone mixing cups, 2 silicone stir sticks, and a 6W UV LED curing light.

The Mr. Resin UV Resin Deluxe Kit includes a 6W UV Curing light, a silicone mat, silicone mixing sticks, silicone cups, finger covers, 48 glitters, and 3 pendant jewelry molds!

One negative reviewer on Amazon complains that the UV Resin received did not include all the items advertised in the pictures.  However, we assume this person ordered to wrong size option on Amazon.  If you are looking to order Mr. Resin’s UV Resin Deluxe or Starter kit, be sure to select the correct option before checking out.

If you use the links listed above next to the bottle sizes, you will land on the correct page that corresponds to the kit or bottle size you are looking to purchase!

These kits are a great place to start, but as usual, we do not think the 6W LED UV light is sufficient for curing UV Resin.

Mr. Resin UV Light is Useless

We did test the light included with this kit but quickly switched to our UV curing box.  This was not a huge surprise because some of the reviews on Amazon mentioned the light included with the MR. Resin UV Resin kit was useless.

We suggest purchasing the UV cure light recommended in our UV Resin Buyer’s Guide when using any UV Resin.

NOTE: If you decide to work with UV Resin on a consistent basis, you may want to consider purchasing a UV Light cure box like the one listed on Amazon below. We love it!!!

Non-Toxic and Environmentally Friendly

Like other UV Resins on our Best of UV Resin list, Mr. Resin is non-toxic.

Mr. Resin also claims to be environmentally friendly.  Although we have no way to actually test this claim, we think it is wonderful if it proves to be the case!

We mixed Mr. Resin UV Resin with glitter, mica powder, and UV Resin pigment.  Each of the colorants tested mixed well with Mr. Resin UV Resin and the products were cured successfully.

(Note we did not use dark colors and most UV Resins have trouble with a full cure if colored with dark pigments.  (See UV Resin Buyers Guide)

Mr. Resin UV Resin is great for creating small keychain charms, jewelry pendants, and fishing flies.  We do not suggest using this UV Resin for larger projects. For larger projects, we always recommend Solarez’s UV Resin due to its dual-cure ability. (See Solarez UV Resin Review for more details. )

You Get What You Pay For

Although Mr. Resin UV Resin is pricier than other UV Resins on the market, you are paying for a quality item that will not let you down.

In Conclusion…

Overall, we can confidently recommend Mr. Resin UV Resin for your next UV Resin Art project.  This UV Resin is great for novices and professionals alike.  We have summed up the pros and cons about Mr. Resin UV Resin in the chart below.  Please let us know in the comments if you have any questions or comments!

  1. The more i read about this resin modeling the more inspired i am to take time aside to actually do some of this, or at least try my hand at it. You see, my major problem is that i have a very artistic imagination but the vast majority of the time, it goes no further than my imagination. So this is good.

    Thanks

    1. Karalyne-

You may not believe it, but I can 100 percent relate to that feeling.  I forced myself to try a resin art project a few years ago and I was instantly hooked.  However, it took quite a while to actually go out of my way to buy the supplies I needed and decide what the hell I wanted to create.  Oh and to actually figure out how the heck to work with resin!

I was so grateful that I took the time to try to create what I had imagined for my first artwork because doing resin art has become my outlet.

If I am stressed, I put it on the canvas.

If I am happy, I put it on the canvas.

If I am angry, I throw it on the canvas!!

Seriously tho, to hell with how the art actually turns out.  it is all about trying something new and expressing that active imagination we all have!

Hope you give it a try!!
